Vibrator or dildo? It’s that easy to make the right choice!

Whether for masturbation alone or to give new impetus to the shared sex life with your partner, sex toys are more popular than ever and have long ceased to be a taboo subject. The lifelike dildos and vibrator are particularly popular to provide evenmore erotic pleasure in bed.

Difference Between Dildo And Vibrator

The two sex toys are often confused with each other, but the difference is quite easy to explain: In contrast to the dildo, the vibrator can as the name suggests, vibrates. It has a motor that is mostly powered by batteries. After switching on, it moves or vibrates. As a rule, different levels can be set so that it moves from a very gentle vibration to extreme movements exactly as it creates the most pleasure.

The dildo cannot vibrate. It is always held by hand and used at will. During masturbation, women can insert it into their vagina or anus themselves, for example, or their partner can do this to make the love game even more exciting.

Incidentally, not only women but also men can of course use vibrators and dildos on themselves or their partner if they feel like it.

The rigid, immobile dildo usually looks like a penis. At least it comes – as far as its shape is concerned, relatively close to a human, stiff tail. That is why it is usually “used” just like a real penis.

Vibrator

The vibrator can also be shaped like an erect penis, and thus basically be a dildo with a vibration effect. However, vibrating toys often have completely different shapes. Small animals such as a dolphin are just as popular at the moment as are flat shapes reminiscent of shells, in which the devices are applied to stimulate the clitoris.

When it comes to the materials the toys are made of, there are almostno limits to the imagination. From wood to glass and plastic, to soft silicone, the selection is huge. The same also applies to colour and size: whatever you like is allowed. When it comes to the exterior, the range is also large. From nubs or veins modelled on a penis to completely smooth surfaces, everything is possible.

What are the pros and cons?

Both sex toys have their respective merits. Which device is preferred to use depends, in addition to personal preferences or the best way to achieve orgasm, often also on the mood or simply the daily form? The clear plus point with the vibrator is of course that it can vibrate independently. Some women just need to place it depending on the shape of their clitoris, lean back and relax and orgasm within a short time.Other women, on the other hand, report that they are not stimulated at all by this vibration.
